7,3 Richter Earthquake

Thursday (02/09), Indonesia’s appalled by the earthquake that almost felt almost throughout area. Magnitude: 7.3 SR.

This is the Information about the earthquake:

The Earth Depth : 30 KM Location: 8.24°S 107,32°E Date – time: Wednesday, September 02, 2009 at 02:55:01 PM at epicenter The last aftershocks was around 04:35 PM There are reports of damages and victims, about 118 victims are still alive and 40 are dead. There are also 2325 of collapsed buildings in several regions. (http://www.metrotvnews.com).

Alhamdulillah, at this morning (3/09/09) 7:15 o’clock, 6 (six) of the pioneering Rumah Zakat Indonesia team, which consists of medical doctors and arrived in PANGALENGAN, precisely in Kp. Sidamukti Ds. PANGALENGAN  PANGALENGAN Kab. Bandung. One location was damaged badly enough.

"Because no one wants to sell foods, most of the victims are difficult to get food and drink," said dr. Yudi Feriandi, Senior Manager of Health Care Division of Rumah Zakat reported by phone at Thursday (3 / 9). after distributed 200 canned meat (Superqurban) and 80 packages of dates for the earthquake victims.

Until Thursday, September 4, at 11.30 Wib, Rumah Zakat Indonesia has provided basic medical service to 120 residents of  Gampong Sidamukti, Pangalengan Sub Disctrict, Bandung Regent, including minor surgery for those whose been struck by the building when the earthquake happened.

Insyallah, in this afternoon,(Friday, Sept 4th, 2009) the another team will be dispatched to Garut Regency to provide assistance there. This team will charge as early respond unit and should provide health services and collecting data for further relief distribution such as soup kitchens, nutrition for children, distribution of clothes, blankets etc, renovating the masjid, as well as advanced medical assistance services when needed.
